Souvenir from "The Eagle Hut" American Sponsored YMCA Facility for Allied Military Men coming out of WW1. Fascinating history and back story of a soldiers life. Offering baked beans, chewing gum. chocolates, housing, meals, entertainment, French lessons, and monetary loans to enlisted men. The Eagle hut order was eventually closed after a riot broke out when London Bobbies arrested soldiers for playing dice in the street. Labeled "The Battle of Bow Street". Authentic paper souvenir with many black and white photos of the interior. Soldiers note to his mother in ink on the back cover. Small 3 by 6" format, rusty staples, paper yellowing and rolled corner on the cover. No rips or tears, but not perfect. Amazing paper survivors. Receipt from bed 9D included.
