ABOUT BHUTANESE TEXTILES -
Bhutanese textiles are known for their varying intricate patterns, colorful nature and complexity. Khoma village in Lhuntse district (where many of our women weavers and I are from), is famed for its weaving culture and exquisite 'kishuthara' textiles. Woven on a backstrap loom, these intricate silk-on-silk textiles are usually made into ‘kiras', the women's national dress, to be worn on special occasions and at religious festivals.

All of our products are handmade by Bhutanese women weavers and artisans. With weaving, dyeing, stitching and finishing all done by hand, no two products are exactly the same. Each item you order from us may show slight variations as each is truly one of a kind.
