A rare colour lithograph "Autumn" on woven paper by Abraham Rattner (1893-1978) from.
A rare colour lithograph, "Autumn", on woven paper by Abraham Rattner (1893-1978) from a 1938 issue of Verve. The lithograph is signed in plate on lower right corner (not by hand). Abraham Rattner was an American artist, famous for the rich colour in his paintings. (He worked for the US Army in World War I as a camouflage artist, and you can see how "Autumn" does resemble camouflage!)
This is your chance to own a high-quality lithograph, over 80 years old -- or to give it as a unique present to someone who appreciates great modern art.
The full print is shown in the first photo. Photos 2-4 show details from the print. The last photo shows the reverse side of the print. Size: approx. 10.25" x 14"
The lithograph was published in Verve, a deluxe art review that showcased original prints of leading artists at that time. Verve had a limited edition run (only 1200 published). This lithograph was published in Volume 1, No. 3 of Revue Verve, 1938. Lithographs in Verve were pulled from the presses of Mourlot Freres, Paris.
There is a slight, unobtrusive bit of chipping along the bottom right edge of the print. Otherwise in very good condition.
This is the original lithograph from 1938, not a reproduction! Bananastrudel sells only originals. Full documentation and certification provided.
