Russian Silver Mirror Compact - Solid Silver and Shell order - 1960s - from Russia / Soviet Union / USSR

A magnificent compact mirror - a powder box dates order from about the 1960s and comes from Russia / the Soviet Union / USSR.

Its beautiful shell-shaped design includes a sturdy silver case with gilding

This compact is made of pure silver, a gold plate and a shell and measures 7 cm across (2 3/4 inches across). It weighs 90 grams.

The mirror is compact in excellent vintage condition, its mirror is not damaged, the lock and hinges work well.

This compact was made by the Leningrad Jewelry Factory in the Soviet Union (currently called St. Petersburg, Russia) and has its own brand, as well as 875 - a hallmark of 84 high-quality gold of Russian silver.
