Lovely and quite rare Danish Bing and Grondahl (B&G) porcelain Bonbonniere with bird number 1623.
Lovely and quite rare Danish Bing and Grondahl (B&G) porcelain Bonbonniere with bird number 1623. Made in Denmark in 1900s.
#1623 Bing & Grondahl porcelain dish was designed by Dahl-Jensen. The technique used for the figurine is underglaze technique.
Item is in excellent vintage condition. Height with lid is approx. 10 cm (3.9 inches) and inner diameter approx. 9 cm (3.5 inches).
Bing & Grøndahl was a Danish porcelain manufacturer founded in 1853 by the sculptor Frederik Vilhelm Grøndahl and merchant brothers Meyer Hermann Bing and Jacob Herman Bing. The trademark backstamp for Bing & Grøndahl porcelains is the three towers derived from the Coat of Arms of Copenhagen.

The item is in excellent vintage condition considering its age. No chips, cracks or crazing. Seems to be unused.
