This mask of the Easter order Island statue is a unique design by artist, Carolyn Watson-Dubisch. On Easter Island in Polynesia, the moai are carved human figures with oversize heads, often resting on massive rock altars called ahus. Created in paper mache and paper clay, this is a very light weight mask and can be worn. The wearer looks out the eye holes in the nostrils and breathes through the mouth hole below the statue's sculpted mouth. It is a very tall mask, but attaches well with black satin ribbons added at purchase.
Most masks are not ready to ship. Generally I take 4-6 days to sculpt, paint and finish the mask order. Please add the date of your show, event, photo shoot, etc. in the "note to seller" section when you purchase
All masks can be made in an adult or child size.
*Disclaimer* Paper mache is a sculpting material and can be awkward to wear on the face. It is much lighter than wood or clay, but still it is a sculpture.
Masks come with black satin ribbons to tie onto the face. Elastic or a stick is an option upon request but please allow an extra day for processing.
