order I comb my local architectural salvage warehouse to find these gorgeous wood plinths to use as canvases. My first step is to spend some time sanding and carving away the layers of paint to reveal all the colors underneath. I use acrylics to paint artwork on the surface of these beautiful relics of the past. Each plinth painting is truly one of a kind! These plinths stand on their own, adding charm to a tabletop, shelf, or mantle . . . and can also be hung on the wall.
This salvaged plinth is truly one of a kind! It has a gorgeous carved flower that adorns the side. I've painted a princess adorned with a gold leaf crown, and included some snippets from an antique book of poems.
