SALE! Annunciation new beginnings madonna and child the bestowal of a sacred child to a parent order divine relationship between mother and child
The relationship between mother and child is so deeply sacred The.
The relationship between mother and child is so deeply sacred. The connection itself cannot be explained in words. It is an intense love, and intense gift, that is FELT. There is a knowing that comes blazing through. One's life has completely changed.
Annunciation is about the moment of the bestowing of that gift. It is about mother and child, about Mary and Jesus, the moment the archangel delivers the news about the great blessing to her, of bringing forth new life. Sacred Life. It is also about the journey to motherhood, and how we get from the moment of the blessing to the fruition and coming forth of a holy sacrament, our own wonderful gift of a child.
This painting was painted intuitively. The painting spoke and I listened. Mixed media and collage mounted on an archival board, and this beautiful tome to motherhood would make a fabulous gift to a wonderful mother, or a sacred gift for one's home. It is about the sacred heart of the gift of motherhood. It is indeed a deep blessing. Overall dimensions are 12x10" in a beautiful, high quality wooden gold gesso frame. This painting also changes with the light quite dramatically. All the pictures where shot in a order cooler light, except for the framed image. It gives an idea of the depth and luster from warm to cool the painting gives. It actually appears more like a framed tapestry or cloth in the actual frame than a 2d painting.
I am a former hairdresser, and began painting again while living with and taking care of my father, while also returning to college and working. My boss at the time told me I didn't know how to have fun anymore! I decided to take a ten week watercolor course, but I didn't have the money. I put out in prayer to get the fee for the course, and for someone to give me a bunch of art supplies. Both things happened! I manifested the money, but it was three month's groceries! I threw common sense aside, paid the fee, and then my father's best friend's wife decided to give me her whole studio of art supplies. I began to paint some terrible stuff, but experienced such deep joy and a positive shift in my being. After my dad died I moved to northern New Mexico and fell in love with the land, and my dialogue with the landscape began in earnest. Painting saved my life.
