Poplar wood has a wide variety of interesting grain patterns and unique shades of light taninsh green to dark purple. I love admiring the mixture of designs and showing them off with order my hand made unfinished poplar frames. When your order frames from this listing you get three poplar frames for 9x12" photos, glass, and your choice of desktop or hanging hardware.

Frames are built with premium 1x3" poplar and cut to exact measurements using a miter trimmer. Wood pieces are first planed, jointed, and then routed for glass and hardboard. Frames are then cut to exact measurements with a professional miter trimmer. The boards are cut in such a way that allows the grain to flow from one frame side to the next which really shows off the beautiful grain patterns.

Once glue has hardened the frames are then sanded with 60 grit sandpaper and outfitted with v-nails into the back of each corner for support and strength. The frame is then sanded again with 120 grit sandpaper for an even smoother finish. Final steps are inserting points to hold glass and cardboard, then attaching hardware for hanging or standing frames.
