This is a mixed media piece of the lighthouse in Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia. It is both wood burned and acrylic painted on a piece of pine wood that ranges in size from 7x11 inches to 24x36 inches.
Though I have never been to Peggy's Cove, I loved the bright red colour on top and how much it made it stand out. Maybe one day I'll see it in person!

My process to make these pieces is as follows:
Draw on the lines with pencil
Burn in the lines my wood burning tool
Paint in the spaces
Burn the edges of the wood with a torch
Seal the piece with a clear gloss covering
