An elegant folding button hook made in the 19th century. It has an attached ring for hanging on a chatelaine. It measures 1 3/8 inches when closed and 2 1/2 inches when open. The open work design looks to be from the Aesthetic movement around 1880. It is made of sturdy metal with a coating of silver plate. It was quite black when I purchased it but cleaned up well with silver polish. A beautiful addition for a chatelaine clip. Please order feel free to ask questions.
