Fossils are so much fun, but did you ever think they could be this stunning? Ammolite is the fossilized shells of ammonites, which lived order 140 million years ago. Found primarily in the Rocky Mountains, Ammolite is often called opalized fossil for its stunning luster and rainbow shifts of color.

This particular cabochon offers a gorgeous blaze of color that shifts from red to orange. Though smaller than our typical gemstone pendants, these cabochons are so stunning that it's worth fabricating such an intricate bezel.

(As with most Ammolite, this cabochon has been stabilized with a resin backing for added strength.)

This one of a kind Ammolite pendant is set in Argentium Sterling -- a superior alloy that is tarnish resistant and contains more silver than Sterling. A sterling silver chain is included, just chose your preferred style when ordering. Fashion links (ball, box, rolo & wheat) are only available in 16". Should you require a longer chain, please choose "cable - size", and I will custom cut a chain.
