The back of this artwork reads (which is in very old and ragged condition as per scan:

ORIGINAL POINT ETCHING

THIS SIGNED ORIGINAL POINT ETCHING was made in England by the celebrated French Artist
G. Huardel-Bly who lives in the picturesque Southdown county and is known as one of the cleverest craftsman who ever "pulled a print."

A perfect bit of composition order in point etching is displayed in this "Eau Forte Originales en noir," -- the work being produced in plate engraving, inking and printing entirely by the artist himself, leaves nothing to be desired.

I'm sorry that I do not have the exact date of this etching as I cannot find any information.

The signature is in pencil and is very, very faint. I've tried to take a picture of it (last one in scan) using a macro setting. The paper looks yellowed which it is not as bad as it looks in the scan. It has discolored with age.

I have not attempted to removed from the old original frame and glass. There is a quite a glare on the pictures.

The mat paper/board surrounding the picture is in bad condition. There are some white areas (I think they show up in the scan). These are not a glare from the glass, they are in the matting. It could use a good cleaning and new frame!

HUARDEL-BLY was born in France in 1872, later settling in England.

If you are a collector of HUARDEL-BLY Art...you may know more than I do. I purchased this at an estate sale many, many years ago.

If you require further scans, please let me know.

Thanks so much for looking!
