Spectacular Maple Serving Tray or Platter with Dramatic Swirling Grain Patterns in Rich Brown and order Tan Tones

This gorgeous tray is made from very unusual Maple with a swirling grain pattern at the center. Deep brown Alder inlays compliment the center grain and light Tiger Maple edges.

The base was cut to flair outward slightly at each end with the handles cut to match -- and also set back slightly.

Cameras don't do a good job of picking up Chatoyancy, or the 3D cat's eye effect certain Maple has. This piece also has very strong Chatoyancy, especially around the center grain pattern.

It has a very nicely balanced range of warm browns and order tans that will compliment almost any decor.

All surfaces were carefully finished with numerous coats of Old Master's matte finish. The finish is completely food safe and extremely durable.

It would make a wonderful addition any entertaining event or as a cherished housewarming gift.

CARE AND CLEANING: The tray should be hand cleaned with mild soap and water. It should not be put in a dishwasher or immersed in water. It should also not be used to carry heavy objects. It has a capacity of about 15 pounds which is the equivalent of about two gallons of water.
