Gorgeous Vintage Crown Trifari Pat Pending Starflower Rhinestone Brooch Pin patented in 1951. Featured in the 1951 Christmas Advertisement. It measures almost 2.75 inches long and 1.25 inches wide. This beauty is in great vintage condition! It features faceted teardrop rhinestones, several baguettes and chatons still vibrant and shiny. This gorgeous brooch is set in Trifari's distinctive burnished gold tone finish; the gold toned wash has faded in spots but still looks fantastic for over 70 years old.
My photo's do not do this piece justice; there is minor wear to the plating on the back of the brooch, but it is order exaggerated by the digital photos.
The back is signed, Crown Trifari Pat Pend. The stones are deeply faceted and beautifully cut, catching light at every turn.
My photo's do not do this piece justice. The gold tone setting has minimal wear. It is difficult to find this brooch in such great vintage condition.
This is rare and very unique, not to mention Gorgeous! The shine and sparkle will dazzle you! This piece is exquisite and just GORGEOUS!
Today, vintage Crown Trifari is a sought-after treasure. In a shrewd marketing move, Trifari worked with 1930s-era Broadway and Hollywood producers to fabricate custom jewelry pieces for famous actors. Thus, Trifari re-positioned its brand and enhanced its market status. Some of the most coveted jewelry by Trifari was designed by Alfred Philippe who worked for Cartier before joining the company in 1930.
