A livery cupboard was an important order piece of furniture in a medieval or Tudor household. It was used to store cooked foods, beverages, and also the plates, trenchers and drinking vessels used every day. Openings in the front and door allowed for air circulation. Some were plain and rustic, others were more ornate to befit the status of the home owner and were proudly displayed in their hall for visitors to admire.
This is 1/12 (1 inch) scale size. The measurements are 6” high x 5 1/2” wide x 1 1/2" deep.
I used Jacobean wood stain and it's finished with 3 coats of semi-gloss varnish.
This is a delicate collectible and is not intended for use in a child's dollhouse.
