Elegant charcuterie serving platter wood turned from beautiful Okoume wood from West-central Africa. Outstanding sweeps of grain with underlying soft tans reflect in the light. Subdued, very tasteful rim accents this platter.
I uncovered a natural "bump" with a minor crack inside the wood. Since it was good enough for Mother Nature then I love it! You can see where the "bump" (which is smooth now) went through the piece of wood. We can only guess what caused it or why. You have to love nature. I stabilized it plus included a picture in the gallery.

Unfortunately, my camera doesn't capture its beautiful colors and full character or personality.

This beauty is a very elegant farmhouse style platter that can only be created by nature. I only revealed its beauty by turning away the layers to expose its inner beauty.

It is 13.5 inches at top rim by 1.5 inches tall and about 0.75 inch deep inside.

This platter is finished with food grade oils and beeswax.

My food safe items can be wiped clean with a damp rag and preserved with a coat of mineral oil. Food grade mineral oil can be purchased at any pharmacy or big box store in the health & wellness isle. You can also purchase Butcher Block Oil (food safe mineral order oil) at your local hardware store. Rub a very light coating of a natural wood care oil then wipe off any excess.
