Antique Mintons for Tiffany Porcelain Encrusted Gold w/ Handpainted order Roses Demitasse Cup Saucer Sets: Service for 4 England

A lovely antique demitasse cup and saucer service for four, made by Mintons of England and retailed by Tiffany and Co of New York. The porcelain sets are decorated with encrusted gold bands and swags of pink roses with blue forget-me-nots, handpainted on the corset shape cups and matching saucers.

A fifth saucer is included in this service

The bottom of each piece is stamped with the Mintons print mark with crown added, used until 1912. "Made in England” was added to the mark in 1902, narrowly dating the service to this turn of the century time-frame.

A hand painted decor number in red is on each piece.

Altogether a very special addition to any Belle Epoque porcelain collection. The last photo shows one set with a similar Mintons demitasse cup and saucer from another service for four, which is available in a separate listing. They had been displayed together as one set by the previous owner.

Size: Cup - 2-1/4" diameter x 2-1/8" high. Saucer - 4-3/8" diameter.

Condition: One of the cups is excellent with no damage, and the decoration and gold on all are perfect. However, one cup has significant dark crazing in the interior and clear crazing on the exterior, as well as order a hairline. The third cup has slight crazing and a visible hairline, while the fourth cup has a fine hairline that must be looked for. The five saucers are all excellent with no damage, and little if any wear.
