This has been in my personal collection for about 40 years. Purchased it in Chester County, Pennsylvania, at a local antique shop. The date is approximate. It could be earlier. It was either made for a child or to be used as a salesman's sample. The kettle measures about 3-3/4" from the base to top of lid. It's about 5" from base to top of handle when raised. As you can see, there are chips of enamel paint missing here and there and someone fixed the handle with wire at one point in time. I don't change my order pieces since it's the little things that make antique pieces special.
Inside, it is a creamy white enamel. There is a lot of crazing, but I see where the major chipping affected the interior, though it is still intact.
There is a similar kettle in Helen Greguire's "Collector's Encyclopedia of Granite Ware - Book 2" on page 326, which is almost identical to this one. She has it priced at $595, though it appears to be in better condition.
Guaranteed to please the collector of children's ware or old granite ware. (Hard to part with)
