Handmade product, from the cutting of the wood to the mosaic finishing. Worked with mixed technique Mosaic on Wood and Origami Paper.
The term Origami (折り紙 - ori=fold, kami=paper) refers to the ancient Japanese art of paper manipulation. At the basis of the principle of origami, there is the metaphor order of the continuous cycle of life that, in the form of paper, finds its complexity but at the same time its inevitable fragility. These two elements embody one of the most beloved concepts of oriental philosophy: nothing is fixed, everything is transformed.
Paper (紙) together with mosaic (モザイク) take on a new form, merging the art of mosaic with the principle of Japanese culture by making the paper a mosaic component within the work (紙モザイク).
