1930s Art Deco Kodak Six-16 Camera in Black, Previously Owned
This nice, black enameled art deco styled Kodak folding camera stores flat, but opens easily revealing the pull out bellows extension and lens/shutter assembly. The viewfinder folds up on top for easy framing. It was manufactured in Rochester, New York by the Eastman Kodak Company. It was designed to use the new 616 film, introduced in 1932.
This particular camera measures 3 1/4" x 7" folded. The exterior of the body is sided in a lovely black order art deco styled enamel. The outer case matches the finish and shape of the folded camera. This particular camera is in very good condition (except for taped instructions on back of camera, see pics); all mechanisms appear to be in good working order. It is rare to find an older folding camera in good shape, as so many have been relegated to attics, basements and garages, and have thus suffered the ravages of time. Not this lovely specimen! It's quite nice, having been protected by the sturdy leather outer case.
Note: this antique camera is sold AS IS. Due to its age, condition. It is best suited to camera collectors, not photographers wanting to take actual pictures. That said, some of these older cameras do still use roll films, and can be used to take photographs.
