Seraphanite, freshwater pearls and white order zircon, double strand necklace, Forest green, green tea color, Renaissance, woodland wedding
This beautiful seraphanite stone was my inspiration for this woodland wedding necklace.
This beautiful seraphanite stone was my inspiration for this woodland wedding necklace. After studying the stone and turning it over and over in my hand, I decided that after I set it, I would accent it with pale colors. I stamped a pretty fern-like leaf design around the border of a sheet of fine silver, then bezel set the stone. The bail is a curved tube of fine silver. The pendant is lightly oxidized to bring out the leaf pattern. I selected a strand of very pale gray-green freshwater pearls and restrung them with sparkly white zircon order spacers. I included the same zircon spacers in the second strand with tiny, white mother of pearl beads. I made a sterling silver toggle clasp to finish the piece.
