Order Victorian Micro Beaded Bag

I'd say this is more of a collector's item rather than one to be used. It's in a fragile condition and needs some expert repair before it could be used. There are some areas of wear in the beadwork and there's a hole on one side. The top is made from silk which has frayed in places. However, it's still a thing of exquisite beauty and one can certainly admire the craftsmanship that's gone into making it. Originally it would have had a drawstring closure, you can see the chanel where the string would have once been. There are some thing bits of thread around the top but I think these were edging around the silk. It would be great if a restorer were to but this and restore it to it's order former glory but it can also be admired for what it is without restoration.

Measures 14.5cm wide and 24cm from top to bottom. I guess the red silk pieces at the top would have folded over and the insides of this fabric are not damaged. It would make a very pretty storage bag on a dressing table or perfect for a bit of set dressing.
