"In the Alaskan Wilderness" by George Byron Gordon is a FIRST EDITION published in 1917 by the John C. Winston Co. in Philadelphia. It is profusely Illustrated with a fold out map, contains an Ex-Library Stamp indicating that the book came from the Harvard University Library. Other features include a frontispiece w/tissue paper, top edge gilt, as well as deckled edges. Condition: VG(Very Good)-Covers and binding have some corner bumps and abrasions as well as a couple scuffs, some order staining and/or soiling. Boards and endpapers have some creases, bubbles, and tanning. There is also an approximate 1/2 inch split along the spine at bottom. However, covers, binding, spine, and boards are all fully and firmly intact with overall excellent presentation. Interior pages and maps are overall in great condition. Pages are mostly off-white with some tanning but the story is complete with one of the pages being slightly loose but not detached.
