Also I likes to draw hares!' … long with many other creatures and landscapes! I'm a pencil artist, and also paints bright colourful canvases.
I'm inspired by the landscape and animals where I live along the Dorset coast. Each drawing or painting has its own order unique appeal either for its free- flowing pencil style or its vibrant colours.
Dogs, hares, sheep, square cows, and many other animals are all given the Al Hayball treatment. You may have seen up and down the country demonstrating painting and drawing skills, exhibiting art alongside some of the most talented crafters and artists accompanied by my faithful hound and muse 'Tilly' the 'bedlington whippet' who also features in many of my compositions.
Impressionism, Expressionism, Surreal, En Plein Air, are styles that describe my painting style.
To get a better understanding on my work in this very unique technique, perfected over a 30 year career in art, check out my influences such as Brad Holland, Richard Adams, Ralph Steadman, Gerald Scarfe, Van Gogh, Leonardo and Monet, online to get an idea of where my style has developed from.
