This 1940s-1950s blue metal toy phonograph was manufactured by Spears Products of Bridgeport, Connecticut. The Spears model 400 "electric phonograph" is a classic Victrola-style player with a reproducer and hollow tonearm that delivers sound through the holes on the sides of the tin body. It has a 78rpm electric motor, but there is no internal amplifier or speaker. One needle is included. To preserve your 78's it would be best to purchase a pack of new needles if you plan to order use this item. The phonograph shows normal wear and tear from age and use. There is a split at the wider side of the body but this seems to be how these phonographs were manufactured. Please see the photos to see the condition and wear on the paint. This piece does not have any major dents or damage. No rust. For use on 114 volt 60 cycle Alt. current only. 50 watts max.
