order This is my rendition of Mount Jefferson in Oregon. It's in the Cascade Range, the second highest peak in the state, and is typically framed by evergreens and wildflower meadows.
I created my version of this scenic wonderland by wet felting various hand blended colors of wool and some silk, to impart a sheen and a texture filled background. I then needle felted in various details to bring together the warm and colorful hues of a sub alpine meadow in bloom.
Mounted and framed in a black, solid wood frame ~ without glass ~ to preserve the textural aspect of the fiber.
The artwork measures approximately 9.5 inches square. Overall dimensions are 10.75 inches square. A saw tooth hanger on the back makes wall display easy.
This would make an interesting gift for a nature lover, outdoor enthusiast, or to add summery color and warmth to your wall.
