This is an intricately made indoor as well as OUTDOOR weather sealed mosaic. This one of a kind work of art withstands rain, snow, extreme heat and other harsh elements. Because it is a painstakingly long, multifaceted step process in order to sustain harsh weather the cost reflects the detailed work involved. This has been created the exact same way the Greek and Roman masters produced their intricate mosaics. I have recently studied mosaics on my trip to Greece this year with my husband. Also ideal for the front of your home near the front door or any deck area that needs a little “oomph”. This can even be placed in a pool area. The process involved in order to create this mosaic is tedious but I enjoy it as it is quite well done. Copying the techniques from the ancient Roman and Greeks there is no grout used in any of my mosaics. Grout crumbles and disintegrates the work order of art eventually. I meticulously place all the pieces onto a hand painted design and cover by hand with colored, cut pieces of stained glass. Almost like doing a puzzle each piece is placed and glued on with sturdy Weld bond glue onto the hand painted acrylic art cement board specially sealed for outdoor use. Vibrant yellows, greens and blues adorn this one of a kind wall art. Of course special orders can be requested but may take a little longer.
