For twelve years of my early adult life I lived next to the Pacific Ocean.
Its vast horizontal flat surface of extreme activity, waves that ebb and flow. It puts this human into a more correct perspective of self.
I felt humbled by a feeling of being an integral part of a vast and unending circle of life. In an instant, I felt myself being very small followed by a feeling of being larger than ever before, like a deep breathe.
This mop cord was white. Mops used to made of long strands of twisted cotton cord. It is easily dyed with Procian Dyes which are made for vegetable fibers, like cotton. Not animal fibers like wool and silk.
The result was this lovely multi variegated blue-like yarn similar to the color of ocean waves caused by the order light shining through immense amounts of water. Raffia is used to make a grassland and the beads are used to create the look of moisture in the air.
The dimensions are roughly 17" x 17".
There are half-hitch loops in the back for hanging anywhere.
