This painting was recently shown in the 2022 Bucks County Designer House in the room decorated by ABCA Design. Such an honor! Note the photograph of this painting and another of my paintings featured as wall decor in this gorgeous crystal and pearl laden room.

This painting features a handmade cup created by my daughter. And of course two of my favorite vegetables to paint, a turnip and an onion. One great thing about painting vegetables is that I always have something for the soup pot. A simple curl of yellow ribbon glamourizes these simple, earthy subjects.

Sharon Egan received her BFA from Penn State University and continues her education at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. She prefers painting from life order, specializing in still life in her studio. Whenever possible, Sharon loves to paint en plien air, especially marshes, beaches and sunsets.

Ms. Egan has received numerous awards for her work and is delighted to have her work in collections around the world. She is currently represented in the Eastern Regional Exhibition of Oil Painters of America. Ms. Egan taught as a continuing education instructor at Bucks County Community College and as a workshop instructor at The Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. She offers private instruction in Philadelphia.

She paints daily, in the company of her studio companions, Olive, a poodle mix rescue, and Junebug, her mischievous cat.

Ms Egan is a member of Oil Painters of America and the American Impressionist Society. She shows work at Art on Asbury in Ocean City, NJ.
