Timeless art vase designed by designer Vaclav Horacek. The design of the vase was created in 60´s. Made in glass factory in Podebrady.

Vases of modern shapes were created with decorations characteristic of pressed glass technology, which give the Czechoslovakian crystal industry a fresh appeal.

The vase is in perfect condition. It has not the slightest damage or scratches. It is incredibly well preserved for its age and looks like a brand new one. It was probably never used and was stored in a glass case.

Vaclav Horacek
He graduated from the Glass School in Zelezny Brod. He continued his studies at the School of Applied Arts in Prague with Professor Stipl.

As an external worker, he works with various glassworks. In Podebradske glassworks, he realizes designs of pressed lead crystal. This technique was given the attribute of a noble press. Lead crystal is interesting in that it was almost indistinguishable from cut crystal in appearance.

Some of his designs of pressed crystal also got into wider production. He designed a massive vase with an organic decor of order fine needles, which covers the entire wall area of ​​the vase. The mentioned vase was exhibited in 1972 in Gottwaldov at the exhibition PRESSED GLASS - CZECH PRESSED GLASS. Another interesting realized design by Vaclav Horacek is a jardiniere covered with geometric patterns that protrude into space.

In Podebrady, he worked alongside great designers, such as Ladislav Oliva and Jirí Repasek, who also devoted themselves to the noble press.
