order This is a Meat Carving set from Manchester Sterling Silver Company in the Gadroonette Pattern. The pattern was introduced in 1938. This pair escaped the monogrammers, so it is presented as Manchester intended it to look. As utilitarian objects, they have been used over the years, and their stainless steel utilitarian parts reflect this fact. , though I did have the blade parts polished by a professional. The handles of these utensils are Sterling Silver and are marked as such at their base.
The knife is 12" from end to end, while the fork is 10". both standard measurements.
The Gadroonette pattern is timeless and maintains a classic, yet contemporary beauty.
Manchester Silver Co. was established in 1887 in Providence, Rhode Island, and adopted the slogan, "If it's Manchester, It's sterling". Gadroonette was one of its most enduring pattern.
Cheers,
