Vintage Football team photo from McGuffey School in Springfield, Ohio, circa 1947.
These guys were the Co-Champions of the Football season, and this framed photo likely was attached to a photo wall in the school for years.
The elementary school was named after McGuffey Reader publisher William Holmes McGuffey.
McGuffey school was demolished in 1983, the two-story block order building made way for an empty field that has not been developed to date.
The kids, the expressions on their faces, and the McGuffey T shirts, all the clothes in general, speaks to a time in the past.
Just the smiles on the faces make this a great photo.
The frame is black painted wood and has just the right amount of vintage chippy.
The photo has been professionally framed with a thick cream-colored mat, and brown paper backing.
The names and title of the photo have been hand inked by a mom maybe and adds to the old school vibe of this wonderful shot.
Measures 14 X 12 1/2 inches.
Perfect gift for the history or sports fan.
