French Antique Creil et Montereau White Ironstone Tureen with Lid, Serving Bowl, Soupiere, Shabby Chic Collectible

Beautiful white ironstone tureen lid. This lovely piece would be the perfect addition to any order ironstone collection. It is stamped "Creil et Montereau" at the base, one of the most prestigious French ceramic producers. This gorgeous antique soup tureen has lovely acanthus leaf-shaped handles and gorgeous relief foliage and a bud knob on the lid. The simple classic design lends itself to many styles of decor and would make a lovely centerpiece display or as a decorative piece just about anywhere in the house. And in my opinion could certainly also be used as intended and would make an impressive dinner presentation.

This piece is in beautiful antique shabby chic condition. It has one small hairline crack in the rim, some faint striated tea-stained crazing near one of the handles and the odd carbon glaze flaw in the handle and rim of bowl. The interior is very clean for use. All this to say it has a perfect touch of timeworn beauty and character.
