This is a very large size, graceful French antique ironstone tureen, made in France circa late 1800's.

This voluptuous, rounded shaped bowl has a typical Art Nouveau style design, with it's intricate scalloped shaped handles and matching lid. The ironstone is a cream light beige tone and has a glossy patina finish.

Elegant leaf relief design on the lid around the handle. Baring no workshop stamp.

The bowl is heavily tea stained and discolored in comparison to the lid.

Wonderful antique condition for something with such age. This white ceramic serving bowl has signs visible of age, a few surface stains, small nibbles of the handles. The inside has a fair amount of surface scratches and very tea stained. Solid and usable. The handles have a few small chips. A gentle used patina overall and a beautiful time worn charm.

This fabulous and timeless French piece will make a stunning, eye catching centerpiece to your table or on display on your open shelves in your kitchen.
