This is natural Larimar from the Dominican Republic.
This piece of Larimar has a very pretty soft blue reminiscent of tropical beach waters and turtle-back patterning.
The stone is set in a thick handmade double bezel with an open back and fixed bale.
Stone alone is 42 x 23 mm cabochon cut.
The bale has an internal diameter of 6 mm.
Weight: 25 grams.

Larimar is a natural stone found only in the Dominican Republic. It is the only known form of blue Pectolite. Its name was given by the discoverer as a combination of his last name "Miguel Loren" and the Caribbean ocean which it resembles "El Mar". Larimar is an extremely limited resource that has become very popular in the past decade. High demand order and low yield combined with government control has made its market almost as volatile as Bitcoin's.

Care:
Larimar should not be exposed to chemicals, including hand soap, hair spray, perfumes, hand cream, chlorine pools and hot tubs as well as ultrasonic and steam cleaners. Simply use warm water with a touch of mild liquid soap to clean the surface.
